NISSAN OF PICAYUNE

http://www.mossysuperstore.com/

I spoke too soon!!!

I thought I was at a new car dealership that was actually looking out for the customer, but after I signed on the dotted line and I decided to cancel the extended warranty, attitudes changed.

I did learn a lot about the "Butler Plan", I learned that if you cancel the extended warranty getting your car washed becomes a huge problem.

2010 Nissan Altima S 2.5

The Nissan of Picayune is a great place to purchase a new Nissan, I recommend Nissan of Picayune to everyone that is looking for a great vehicle.

The sales people are of the finest quality and they work hard in your interest and that means honesty.

This "thank you" card is a reminder of how Nissan of Picayune show concerns to the buyers of their product, and that means a lot too me.

Roger Bacon:  I have decided too cancel this agreement after reading what items are covered vice the items not covered under this Service Agreement.

I found that my car insurance company covers all of the pertinent item this Service Agreement provides, so that is the reason I have decided to cancel the agreement.

Mr. McCaleb,

I am sorry you have not heard from Kevin Cangelosi yet, but we are in the middle of a sale and a month end close. We pulled your file and he will be in touch with you after the end of the month. As for the cancellation, Security Plus will use the date you notified us of your request. However, I want to point out a couple of things:1) the cancellation refund will go to your lender, will not affect the payment, but will be used to reduce the payoff; 2) once cancelled you will not at a later date be eligible to purchase an extended warranty from Security Plus; 3) Security Plus is underwritten by Allstate Insurance Company and is the only Nissan authorized extended warranty provider. I have been in the automotive business for 37 years and automotive extended warranties are a great buy(a tremendous amount of coverage, including rental car, for a relatively small amount of money). With the average mechanical labor rate approaching $100 per hour, plus parts price increases, I highly recommend an extended warranty to everyone I speak to about purchasing a vehicle. Between our two dealerships, we collect nearly $100,000 per month from extended warranty providers, on claims for our customers.
I am so confident in the value of this coverage, that I will offer you a money back guarantee. If you never experience the need to use the Security Plus policy(for a covered repair, towing or rental car), and  the policy goes to term, I will issue you a full refund. If you trade the car at some time during the term of the policy, Security Plus and  Nissan of Picayune, will issue a pro-rated reimbursement, even if you have made claims under the terms of the policy.
Mr. McCaleb, either way you can't lose. I hope that you will give your request, and my offer, serious consideration. If you choose to keep the coverage, I will issue you a money back guarantee certificate.
Have a great day.

Mr. McCaleb,

Perhaps when you come in to sign the cancellation Kevin can review the coverage with you. There is no car insurance policy that covers engine, transmission, air condition, etc. The policy you purchased basically covers the vehcile bumper to bumper, with the exception of maintenance. There are in excess of 1950 covered components, including hoses and belts. The policy pays for rental reimbursement, towing, trip interruption, and roadside assistance(key lock out, out of fuel, dead battery, etc.). A new engine could cost in excess of $8000 and would be covered by the Security Plus policy.
As I stated earlier, if you want to cancel we will be glad to process the paperwork, but my earlier offer has no down side.

The below emails are about the cancellation of an extended warranty and what is called the "Butler Plan".

Mr McCaleb,
Today was the last day of the month and our managers were very busy. We did not leave the office until 8:15 pm. We will be glad to provide whatever you need when the dust settles.
The auto butler package allows for car washes whenever you come to the dealership, exterior detailing twice a year, as well as having the paint protection reapplied twice a year for 5 years. You will receive reminders every 6 months. This package has a retail value in excess of $1200 if purchased individually.
If you need any additional information we will be happy to provide it.

Mr McCaleb,
I am offended by those remarks, because one car sale is not important enough to lie, cheat or mislead a customer. I have 37 years in this business, with an impecable reputation with the BBB, GM and Nissan. They told you the truth about car washes. If you come every day from Monday thru Saturday, during regular business hours, we will wash your vehicle. As for the warranty, his job is to make sure you understand what you bought and what you are cancelling. I think it is the best offer we have, with the best value and most valuable to a customer long term. I think it is a mistake to cancel, especially with the money back guarantee we offered.
Regardless we will cancel and your lender will get the refund once Nissan reimburses us.
Have a good day.

Was this when the vehicle was in for service or when Art put the wheel cover back on? If you bring it for service the tech will run it through the wash. If you bring it to your salesman, he will wash it. But, the car washes are minor compared to the exterior details twice a year.

Check the cancel dates and a lack of signature on Nissan's, if a person won't sign his work, it makes you wonder if it is a legal letter.

Mr. McCaleb,

This has gotten way out of hand. It is time for us to have a face to face meeting. If it is inconvenient for you to come to our dealership, then we will come to you. We have done everything you have asked of us. We cancelled your warranty. You didn't purchase the Auto Butler plan, but if it makes you happy I will give it to you, with all of the benefits associated.
However, we need to bring this to a head. Reasonable, intelligent people can sit down and talk about their issues, and seek a resolution.
I will look forward to hearing from you. I can be reached at 601-799-5502.

"Reasonable, intelligent people"

Roy, you are missing the point, it's not about the Butler Plan, but about the Honesty of a New Car Dealership.

It's not about the cancellation of the extended warranty, but about the Honesty of a New Car Dealership.

We are not going to talk, and I will never ask for, nor do I want too have my car washed at your dealership.
