I AM REQUESTING AN
INVESTIGATION CONCERNING THE SEARS LAWN MOWER SERVICE.
I REQUESTED THAT MY
RIDING LAWN MOWER BE SERVICED BY SEARS, I WAS TOLD BY THE LADY AT SEARS THAT THE
SERVICE MAN WOULD COME TO THE HOUSE, (MY SONS HOUSE), AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE ON
THE COST OF SERVICE.
WHEN THE SERVICE MAN CAME AND LOOKED
AT THE MOWER HE SAID THE MOWER WAS IN GOOD SHAPE, BUT THE BELT NEEDED TO BE
REPLACED.
WHEN I (ON THE PHONE ) TOLD THE
SERVICE MAN TO REPLACE THE BELT HE SAID THAT WOULD BE $250.00 DOLLARS, AND I
ALSO REQUESTED THE OIL BE CHANGED, THAT CAME OUT TO $181.90, ( RECEIPT BELOW),
AND ANOTHER $6.00 FOR THE OIL.
I THOUGHT THIS SERVICE WAS VERY HIGH,
AND TOLD THE SEARS SERVICE MAN THAT I
WOULD CHANGE THE BELT AND OIL MYSELF, HE DID EXPLAIN HOW EASY IT WAS TO CHANGE
THE BELT AND THAT I COULD PICK A BELT UP AT HOME DEPOT.
SO, AFTER ALL WAS DONE
WITH IT COST ME $112.35 FOR THE SEARS SERVICE MAN TO COME LOOK AT MY RIDING LAWN
MOWER AND DID NOTHING AS FAR AS REPAIRS.
MY WIFE DEALT WITH
THE SEARS SERVICE MAN AND WHEN SHE ASKED IT THE $112.35 WENT TOWARDS THE REPAIRS
HE SAID NO HIS LABOR WOULD BE $170.00 ALONE.
I BELIEVE THIS TOO BE EXCESSIVE
CHARGES, BUT THAT IS THE REASON I AM REQUESTING SEARS INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER.
I LIKE SEARS, I HAVE SEVERAL ITEM I
HAVE PURCHASED WITH SEARS, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE YOU SERVICE PEOPLE AND SALES PEOPLE
DO NOT HAVE A CLUE ON WHAT TO DO.

NOW, TODAY ( MARCH 21,
2008) I RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM SEAR'S LAWN REPAIR SERVICE ABOUT MY WEED EATER
I BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE REPAIR PRIOR TO SPRING CUTTING.
CHRISTINA, EXPLAINED
THAT SEARS DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS FOR THE WEED EATER AND THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE
TO FIX THE WEED EATER.
I ASKED IF I WAS STILL
GOING TO BE CHARGED THE $32.09 FOR THEM LOOKING AT THE WEED EATER AND WAS TOLD
YES, SINCE THEY LOOKED AT THE WEED EATER THEY WERE STILL GOING TO CHARGE ME.
I THINK THE SEAR'S
LAWN REPAIR SERVICE, WHICH IS NOT IN BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, WHERE I DROPPED OFF
THE WEED EATER, THEY SENT THE WEED EATER TO PENSACOLA, FLORIDA AND THAT IS WHERE
THEY DECIDED THEY COULD NOT GET THE PART TO FIX MY WEED EATER.
SO IN THE PAST TWO
DAYS SEARS HAVE MADE $112.35 FOR LOOKING AT MY RIDING LAWN MOWER AND $32.09 FOR
LOOKING AT MY WEED EATER.
112.35 + 32.09 =
$144.44 AND ALL THEY DID WAS LOOK AT HE RIDING LAWN MOWER AND WEED EATER.
THAT IS GOOD MONEY AND
EASY TOO AS FAR AS SEAR'S IS CONCERNED.
I HAVE REQUESTED
SEAR'S INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER BUT SINCE THEY ARE MAKING A KILLING ON THE LAWN
(NOT) REPAIR SERVICE I DOUBT IF ANY THING WILL BE DONE.

RECEIVED A PHONE CALL
FROM SEARS CUSTOMER SERVICE 1-800-690-5650, MY CLAIM NUMBER WAS 1933925, THEY
EXPLAINED THAT THE EXCESSIVE CHARGES TO REPAIR MY LAWN MOWER WAS IN TUNE WITH
THERE COST AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO.

Sears Lawn Mower Repair
In September I called
Sears 1800 4-my-home to schedule a service repair for my
riding lawn mower. The service center scheduled an
appointment in the middle of the week.(WED). I took the day
off from work, and waited for the repairman.
On the day of the
scheduled service I checked my voice mail and was informed
to call customer service to set up another appointment. (
they were over booked) I set up another appointment for the
following (SAT) .
I received another call
from (CS) that my service was canceled because (CS) I failed
to respond to a message on my voice mail on Friday in which
they had decided to reschedule my appointment for that day.
Since that time Sears
has attempted to schedule me for a Service call during the
week. It would be foolish of me to take another day off to
be disappointed not to mention a second monetary loss. (SAT
10-24-04) I scheduled another appointment ( NO scheduled
Service Technician.) Now remember Sears has been going
through some financial troubles. YOU WONDER WHY?
