I have requested several times over the past eleven (11) years for the help of our local WLOX-TV 13/ABC.

But it is obvious that our local TV station supports the Wildlife Rehabilitation & Nature Preservation Society, Inc.

I have in the past requested the resignation of Mr. Leon Long when he produced his own tape and aired the tape just prior to the state wide election on Prop. # 9, Term Limits for elected officials.

Now it is time to request his resignation again, in the hope I will succeed.

I am trying to get Mr. Michael Eisner, CEO of Disney and CEO of ABC.

I have called the CEO & President of ABC:

MR. STEVE BORNSTEIN, PRESIDENT & CEO OF ABC-WLOX-13

          Mr. Steve Bornstein:

I hope this letter finds you in good spirits.

I am requesting the manager of WLOX-TV 13/ABC, Mr. Leon Long, Biloxi, Mississippi is asked to resign.

I have over the past eleven (11) years ask that my local TV station help me in tell how a certain, “Wildlife Rehabilitation and Nature Preservation Society, Inc.” be exposed as a SCAM society.

This society has owed me $7,790.00 plus profit and stolen tools since 1990; I have requested that I be afforded the same airtime as my local station provides WRANPS, Inc.

But as usual it comes down to politics, WRANPS, Inc. is located on land owned by the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), and corruption goes all the way to the top.

I have several web pages explaining how I was SCAMMED but my local TV station is not there for me.

This is the second time I have requested the resignation on Mr. Leon Long, the other time was when the made his own tape about a Proposition #9, during a statewide election.

He aired this tape either the evening before or evening of Election Day, requesting the voters of Mississippi to vote “NO” on Prop. #9.

This Proposition was about Term Limits for elected officials, but when you have a,                                           “supposedly”, neutral TV station manager going on his own station requesting the voters to vote “NO” the outcome of the election may be decided by his comments.

In fact Proposition #9 was voted down, but on a very close vote.

Please consider my request, when someone is as powerful as Mr. Leon Long has become in our community, when he speaks people listen.

Sincerely,

Steven A. McCaleb

Hi Mr. McCaleb,

Here's the script from that story on Tuesday.  Again, we have a policy
against mailing out scripts, so I'd ask you not to circulate this.

If I can help, just let me know.

Glenn

A new non-profit organization geared at helping injured wildlife is the
brainchild of a Saucier veterinarian, his partner and some dedicated
volunteers.
Dr. James Askew has formed The Arcc.
(***MIYOKA***)
That stands for Threatened and Endangered Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation
Center.
[SPLIT SCREEN---------]
Marcia Hill joins us with more.
[MARCIA FULL @ WALL--------](**MARCIA**)
Dr. Askew is a federally licensed wildlife rehabilitator.
He says there is a growing number of injured wildlife... including
endangered and threatened species.
So with The Arcc, he plans to enhance the work that is already being done
at WRANPS and the Wildlife Care and Rehab Center in Biloxi.

[TAKE PKG--------]
Dr. James Askew treats plenty of dogs and cats at his Saucier veterinary
office.

[cue 13:56...come on...this is Callie]

But he says ten years ago when he couldn't find anyone to take care of a
turtle that had been hit by a car,    he discovered his true calling is
helping injured wildlife.

[CUE 6:30...:4]
Dr. James Askew:  There was a niche for someone to do turtle work and to
do wildlife work.

Askew works with all kinds of wildlife...and he sees quite a few turtles.
This one...another car victim...needed its shell put back together and
has a broken leg.
The doctor says with so many wild critters passing through his doors, he
formed The Arcc...a non-profit organization.

[cue 8:57...:12]
Askew:  I decided to make an organization, to try to create one, to where
you can do the above and beyond and try to keep these guys, if not to be
rehabilitated and put back into the wild, then to make 'em an educational
tool.

Although space is tight,  Askew has the veterinary office to treat
wildlife...but with no budget, his new group counts on donations or he and
the other organizers pay for what they need themselves.

[cue 10:52...:8]
Askew:    it just basicially comes out of our own pockets and for animals
in need we go and solicit the care, the cage, whatever facilities we need.

Many of the animals Askew treats come from the wildlife rehab center
north of Pass Christian.
Its director says they take in about 15 hundred injured or orphaned birds
and other wildlife every year...and the need for Dr. Askew's services is
great.

[cue]
Katy Pope/WRANPS Director: We send animals up there all the time, several
times a week and it's very important we all work together so we aren't
duplicating each other's efforts, so we can have our own speciality and put
the animals back to where they need to be, back in the wild.

Hi Mr. McCaleb,

I just checked out your web site.  I've been there before, but I'd forgotten
about it.  I don't want to sound rude, but if you've got an axe to grind
with WRANPS or WLOX, please leave me out of it!  This is by no means a
threat.  I just don't want to get fired, that's all!  I hope you understand.

Thanks,
Glenn
